Always use a good quality underlay cloud 9 is a good option, make sure the underlay is the correct way up the start to pin of the underlay with a staple hammer Cut the underlay right next to the gripper rods using a Stanley knife push your knife through the underlay until you can feel the gripper rods and cut use as much pressure as required once you have followed all the steps you are now ready to fit your carpet
allow 10 cm extra of carpet this will make it easier to fit cut the excess carpet off once happy you can start to fit start at a wall with no radiators bend the excess carpet over until you have a tight bend in the carpet with a stanley knife cut the carpet along the bend in the carpet check repeatedly that you are not cutting the carpet short after you have cut the carpet tuck it down with a bolster
go to the opposite wall and with a stretcher stretch the carpet onto the gripper rods check that the carpet is flat and the carpet is hooked on the gripper. Cut the carpet in the same way as the first wall. Apply the same method to the remaining wall always remembering to stretch into doorways and away from radiators.
